A/C Deluxe
The same sea, the same salt, more room to drop your bag in. Bigger bed, heavier curtain for the mornings you have genuinely earned a lie-in, and the quieter side of the house. Two of these exist. They go first, every season, to people who booked before they finished reading this.

Who the A/C Deluxe is for, and a day on the quiet side
Two of the five private rooms are Deluxes. Like the Double it sleeps two and is priced per room, so coming alone costs the same as coming as a pair.
- Who it suits
- Couples and light sleepers, and the partner who is not surfing.
- A day from here
- If you surf, the lesson is in the morning. If you do not, the curtain lets you sleep through it. In the evening the Flow Cult skatepark is just down the road, and the terrace has music and board talk.
- House rules
- Parties and drinks are welcome, with the volume kept reasonable.
- Check-in and check-out
- Check in from 1:00 PM, check out by 11:00 AM. Late check-out or early check-in is usually fine if the room is free, just ask.
- Extras
- Laundry is charged by the piece.

The bigger bed
The A/C Deluxe at Edava beach, Varkala
The Deluxe starts where the Double does and adds size. The bed is larger, in a teak frame with interlocking joints at the corners.
There are two of these rooms and three Doubles. What the Deluxe buys is room to spread out, a heavier curtain and the quieter side of the house. On some dates it costs the same as a Double, and the rate for every date is on the rooms page.
The quiet side
Somewhere to sleep past the dawn session
Someone in this house is always up early for the surf. The Deluxe rooms are on the quieter side of it, which is not the same as soundproof, but it helps.
Draw the heavy blackout curtain and the room stops having an opinion about the time. The A/C control is inside the room, so the temperature is between you and whoever you came with.
The bathroom
A private bathroom with hot water
Each Deluxe has its own ensuite with hot water. Salt and sunscreen come off in there, not on the sheets.
Housekeeping is daily. Towels are swapped every third day, and before that if you ask.
Breakfast is included with the Deluxe, the same as the Double and the dorm.
