Cookie Policy
One small cookie remembers which consent rules apply where you are. Two more, one counting visits and one measuring our Meta ads, switch off in one tap, and in Europe they stay off until you agree.

One small cookie, kuma-regime, records for 30 days which consent rules apply where you are, so that visitors in Europe get the ask-first banner. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage, and a session-only flag, kuma-seen, stops the intro from replaying on every page and is cleared when you close the tab. No payment cookies are set: online payment is not active at the moment.
Analytics
Opt-out, opt-in in Europe
Google Analytics. If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland it stays off, with no analytics cookie, until you accept on the banner. Everywhere else it runs from your first page, the banner says so, and one tap turns it off and deletes its cookie. We also use Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookies at all and cannot identify you, so it runs either way.
Advertising (Meta Pixel)
Opt-out, opt-in in Europe
Meta's pixel. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it is never switched on until you accept: your browser downloads Meta's script, but it sends no events and sets no cookie. Everywhere else it runs from your first page, the banner says so, and "Turn off" stops it and deletes its cookie. Meta's automatic click tracking is turned off entirely. When it runs it sets one cookie, _fbp, which lasts 90 days, and tells Meta that this browser visited, which pages, and whether you viewed a room or camp, sent an enquiry or tapped WhatsApp. That shows us whether our Instagram and Facebook ads bring anyone here, and lets us show them to people who have visited. Meta handles it under its own privacy policy. We never pass it your name, email, number or anything you type, and we sell nothing to anyone.

Why there is a banner
There wasn't one until September 2026, because there was nothing to consent to. There are now two optional tags: Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are worth keeping, and Meta's pixel, so we can tell whether our Instagram and Facebook ads bring anyone here.
What happens next depends on where you are. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland the law says we ask first, so both stay off until you accept, and ignoring the banner stores nothing. Everywhere else both run from your first page, and the banner tells you so rather than hiding it. Either way, saying no is one click and the same size as saying yes, and "Choose" lets you keep one without the other.
What the Meta pixel is for, and what it isn't
When it runs, Meta learns that this browser visited and whether you looked at a room or camp, sent an enquiry or tapped WhatsApp. We use that to see whether an ad was worth paying for, and to show our ads to people who have already been here rather than to strangers.
We never pass Meta your name, email, number or anything you typed, and we don't sell data to anyone. Turn it off and none of it happens.
Changing your mind
Use the "Change my cookie choices" button on this page. It stops both, deletes what the two tags stored, and brings the banner back; pick "No thanks" or "Turn off" there and they stay off. Clearing this site's data in your browser also brings the banner back. Blocking all cookies breaks nothing on the site: there is no online checkout at the moment, and the only essential cookie just remembers which consent rules apply where you are.
If this changes again
Any new tracker gets added to the table above and to the banner in the same breath. You will not find yourself silently tracked because a policy page went stale.
